Al Brooks has been a professional trader for more than 30 years, following an earlier career as an ophthalmologist. He earned his MD from the University of Chicago and authored dozens of scientific papers on eye diseases and surgical techniques. Before transitioning into trading, he taught eye surgery at Emory University and later opened his own practice in Los Angeles, where he also served on the clinical faculty at UCLA.

Since then, Al has shared his trading techniques across four continents, lectured on advanced scalping strategies at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and remains a regular speaker at MoneyShow and TradersExpo conferences. He has personally taught tens of thousands of traders worldwide, and his books have been translated into multiple languages — with the Brooks Trading Course now undergoing translation as well.
